Lowering Ears

Between yesterday and today we managed to get all three boys in for haircuts. Those without teenagers will not understand what a remarkable feat this is.

For whatever reason, #1 and #2 (not so much with #2) don't like getting their hair cut. Now, if they were inclined to take care of their hair as it grew longer, we would not protest this overly much. However, that is not the case. Also, both boys have the misfortune to have hair very much like my brothers; lots of body, bordering on downright curly, and extremely wiry. As their hair grows longer it takes on a very poodle-ish texture, and the boys tend to look like Q-Tips on steroids.

Fortunately #3 is easier. He doesn’t put up an argument about getting a haircut, and is typically happy to chat and spend time with us on the way to and from wherever we are going for the cut.

Boy do I miss the days when the twins could be bribed with the prospect of a balloon.
