Yesterday and Today
Tue Sep 11 2007

Yesterday was Hubby's birthday, and we spent it at the Fair. We both took the day off and enjoyed wandering around everywhere at the Fair that the kids don't like going. We will go back next week with the kids, where they will ride all the rides and stuff themselves with junk food as anyone should do when spending time with their family at the Fair.

Today, being 9/11, I've made it a point to keep the TV turned off. I remember the day, and what we lost, but I don't want to spend the day in tears as I know I would if I were to watch those images over and over again. I can't help but wonder how long it will take to make today a federal holiday to memoralize the events 6 years ago.

    Happy birthday to Hubby!

And I agree with you. Watching it over and over just traumatizes everyone all over again. And we're stronger than that, as a nation, as a people. We don't need to spend the rest of our lives reliving it; we just needs to remember with love the ones who were lost, and their families, and keep making our country the wonderful, free, place that it is.

What's the old saying? ''The best revenge is a happy life.'' Let's show the SOB's, I say.

    Hugs,
    Ani

    It was an awful day.

I can hardly watch stuff about it either.

But I don't want to forget either.

It is a hard place to be.
