Mixing Things Up & WAFFLES!!
Wed Jan 11 2006

I had the kids switch rooms last night. I'm giving Caelin a chance to run with #1, and Rob a chance to do the same with #2. Hopefully, this will give them a more rounded view of the life on a typical US teen.

The kids were thrilled this morning to discover the breakfast of choice today is WAFFLES!!! The chants of Waffles! Waffles! Waffles! is muffled only by full mouths and laughter.

Sounds like everyone is getting off to a good start!

The kids go up to the mountains today to play in the snow. They should arrive home tired and hungry, and Hubby was mumbling something about Taco Bell since he is in charge of feeding the hungry hoards this evening.

As a side-note chuckle here, the kids were still talking about the video this morning and were quite disappointed that it wasn't on TV again today.

Fun In The Snow

The kids spent yesterday at one of our local ski havens, Snoqualmie Pass.

From the sounds of it, Rob & his Mum spent the day on the slopes, getting in as much skiing as they could. Caelin took the more social route by engaging in as many snowball fights as he could.

Both boys arrived back soaked, tired and happy.

Hubby took the dinner reins in hand and fixed Tacos for all hungry parties. They were gobbled up in record time. I suspect that Rob & Caelin were so hungry at that point that boiled socks would have been greeted with the same gusto!

Their adventure for Thursday will take them up the road a bit to the Auburn SuperMall. The schedule shows them leaving at 7:45 and coming home at 4:00. I'm not sure what they plan to do at the mall for 8 hours, but I'm sure they will come across anything and everything they would ever want to buy. I've already overheard Rob mention Old Navy and his Grandmum back home, so I suspect he has her in mind for spending some money on.

I wish I could be an eensy-beensy spider on the wall and watching all this. Sounds like everyone is having a wonderful time.

Do you make waffle house calls? My, oh my, that sounds good right now. LOL Sure sounds like everyone is having a great time. I'm curious though, how long are Caelin and Rob going to be staying with you? This sounds similar to a program my daughter participated in during her high school years only much longer.

    Lovely place for snowbunnies!

Tacos? Tacos? Reminds me of my #1 son's 16th birthday. Tradition was, the birthday kid could order birthday dinner, and could invite a friend.

The two boys put down three dozen tacos before they called quits. And I didn't make skinny tacos.
