11 am Sunday
Well yesterday my oldest was doing bad once again. He was ok if he was on the couch just relaxing watching TV, but little brother was beside himself with the 2 of us sick. So he sought out to torment and pester his big bro, which each time he would upset him would start his coughing up worse and upset him.
It was very frustrating, since my throat is scratchy and I have the cough also its hard to raise my voice also to even get his attention.
I decided to watch Titanic yesterday. I hadnt watched it in years. My kids saw some portions of it and were asking me if it was real. I had told them that yes there was a real Titanic and that lots of people died.
My oldests cough just wouldnt let up. I felt bad for him. Nothing was working, the cough supressant or cough drops. The vapo rup, the vaporizer.
Friend had asked me if I had Expectorant? So Im like rummaging thru the cupboard and I do have a bottle of it from the health food store. Homeopathic stuff. So I took some and gave kiddo some, I noticed a big improvement for myself with the cough. I had to give the kiddo the more often dosage cause he was more worse off than me.
Well by eve, he was miserable groaning on the couch and running a fever. I took his temp and he was at 103. I was worried and called Mom. She told me to take off his pants, and only give him a sheet and sponge bathe him. I had given him some fever reducer but it had only been about 20 min since he had taken it. She said to give it a little time and see how he does.
So I did. Within an hour he was awake again and watching TV and smiling at me as I walked by. Poor lil guy. I checked him again and it was down at 101. So I knew he was doing better.
You know kids are amazing. Never can figure them out. My youngest first gets this bug. Hes down for 2 days with a fever, by day 3 he springs right up and just has a minor cough and has been ok since. Then my oldest has been sick for 5 days, and his cough is much much worse.
But then my youngest is the one with the teeth problems, and my oldest has the nice teeth. Just funny how that all works.
Well this AM the sun is shining. Today if he wasnt better it was time to see the Dr. But he is up and smiling and actually playing with his brother. Only remnant is a cough but its much better than it was. Mommy is feeling better also. And the obvious sign hes feeling better was getting woken up to him saying "MOM IM STARVINGGGGG" and him wanting his muffins he didnt eat last night for dinner. So hes had a muffin, applesauce and a bowl of oatmeal and is quite the happy camper.
Hoping everyone will be well come Tuesday for school.
Mom will fill in tomm for me so I can work, if Im still a lil sick Ill still go in just take some cold medicine, Ill survive.
Not much else to report, my time sick consisted of bed and television.
