Was just staring into the mirrored shelf in my office. Staring at my teeth.

Ive been wanting to get my teeth whitened for years. But its $150 for just the top or bottom. $300 total and insurance doesnt cover that sorta thing.
I was at the gym awhile ago and they have a sign in the bathroom for these Crest Whitening Strips. Im like "Ah why not?" it says you can get a refund if they dont work.
But I couldnt find them in the store each time I looked in the toothpaste isle. Then I found them! Ouch almost $40 for a box.
I debated for several weeks. I didnt want to waste $40 either, just assuming most store or products like this dont really work. But hey its money back guarantee so?
So after weeks of debating thought why not?
So you have to place 2 strips a day on your teeth for 30 min each time. Top teeth first. You can only get the refund if you have used only the TOP strips and no results.
So day after day I have walked around with this little piece of film on my teeth for 30 min twice a day.
I go and look in the mirror and see nothing, ::sigh:: damn store gimmicks!
When the H was here I told him that I was trying this out, he said he could tell, he could? He said yeah its kinda blotchy but you can tell.
THe booklet said it may be blotchy n stuff at first.
So here I am at the final end, maybe about a weeks worth left of upper strips, and a few days ago I looked in the mirror again. Umm I can tell a difference!
FIgures I get to the end of the strips before I notice, most people give up before this point and dont wait.
And the good part about doing the top first is you can compare with your bottom teeth.
Yeah so call me a test case for Crest. HA!

Only thing that is annoying is a few spots on my teeth where the braces once were, its really white where the brackets were attached. And wonder if there is even a way to blend that.
I ran into my Mom yesterday. I hadnt been to the thrift shop in quite awhile so I decided to stop in on my way to the gym. I was browsing when I hear her voice. She came walking down the same isle. She was scoping out goodies. She does this late on Tuesday. Wed is senior discount day. So mom gets the good buys then. And she doesnt act like a senior!
There was this gorgeous patchwork type quilted comforter in there. I saw it and rushed over. The H's aunt has this bed set. Its gorgeous and she said how expensive it was, the comforter was well over $100. And it was just so gorgeous I fell in love upon site.
So I was all frantic looking for the price. OUCH $46! At the thrift shop. Its nice, but hey I want a bargain, ok so its a bargain still, but when you thrift shop you dont wanna spend a whole lot. I went and tracked down Mom since she would return in the AM for Senior Discount which means half off.
Another lady had it out and was eyeing it in great detail, before this another woman. It was that nice!
So Mom said she would pick it up if its still there this AM for me. She will get it for around $23 with her discount.
As she was talking I started looking at her teeth, Oh no! Im checking out peoples teeth now. I didnt realize how yellow my moms teeth are. She takes good care of them and all, doesnt smoke or anything, just yellow with age.
Just like eyebrows, I never used to shape my eyebrows, now when I look back at old pics where I didnt, like my wedding. I go Ugh! It changes your face so much! So then you start to notice eyebrows.
The H will be on his way back here, should arrive around Sat. He made some old contacts and managed to set up a job walk with his new boss. His boss is flying in Tues to go! Wow, H was suprised the boss said ok like that. So it will be in Beverly Hills.
