As far as dialysis is concerned, my machine at home is going to have a break today, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and April 7th. Due to the fact that Jackie is going to Las Vegas with her brother and eldest son until Tuesday, the 7th. I have been looking forward to going to Fresenius Kidney Care for treatment the whole month and when I got to the clinic, I learned from Holly, the receptionist, that she was unaware of me coming! What? Really? Hmmm? So I called Stephanie, the home dialysis nurse and left her a message since she did not answer. A few minutes later, Stephanie walks out from the dialysis floor and told me she just told Kathy the dialysis nurse that I was going to be there T, Th, and S, and on the 7th. I did not get in lickity split, but I got in a chair and machine by 12:15 PM until 3:15 PM today. I am looking forward to my clinic visits this week to see my favorite techs and nurse on the floor while Jackie is on vacation this week and until the 7th.
As my machine has a break this week, I am going to enjoy getting medical rides a chance to see others, my favorite techs and the nurse on the floor, and say hello to other patients I have not seen in a while. Dialysis did go smoothly, but during my treatment, the tech needed to reverse the lines today because the machine’s arterial line was being wonky and the machine was alarming. Once the lines were reversed, the machine had no more alarms of distress. I was able sail through treatment to its finish and get out the door by 3:30 PM with my ride Que standing in the doorway of the lobby waiting for me, lol. It was a fair day out. It was a good day.
