Right now, until ?4:30 pm? I am at the dialysis center Fresenius in the home department of Fresenius Kidney Care for the month of February. We are training to do dialysis at home again. Trying to do home dialysis last time with my 9th catheter, which turned out to be a piece of crap. I had bad luck with #9 because it was too short and too thick. Jackie and I decided that I will not be going to Mercy Hospital anymore…not for emergency or be admitted. I prefer SSM/St. Mary‘s or Froedtert Hospital from now on. Mercy Hospital has lost me as a patient last time they changed my 8th catheter to my 9th catheter, and I had to have my 9th catheter replaced due to it not working properly from day one. I got see my favorite techs and doctor in the radiology department one last time. The clinic Azura doctor and the techs were in my world for the first time, and I found them all very helpful. The techs and staff are sweet, but after my 9th catheter failed to work properly from it being placed. It was annoying and frustrating to deal with it.
As far as dialysis is concerned, leaving Mercy, was because Dr. Anjum does not have hemodialysis dialysis for patients in the home. Fresenius Kidney Care does allow patients to have hemodialysis for patients in their home. Mercy Dialysis only has peritoneal dialysis for patients in the home. I did peritoneal dialysis in 1987 for 4 months while being a patient at the UW-Hospital and Clinics. I was 17 years old then.
I may come back later.
