My Soap Box Moments

When I get the chance to leave Garden Court, I am out of there! This place is no real home anymore. It’s sad, but it’s unfortunately the hard truth. This place is s slumlord kind of place. It is running downhill so fast that many tenants want to leave here and that includes me! Yeah, I have a hallway that makes my apartment a home. A hallway in the apartment makes it a home and not an apartment. However, I need an air conditioner replacement and the oven takes 1 hour and a half to cook a pizza according to Jackie.  Nothing is being done about it. They come up here and say the AC is working just fine when it’s not. Management and maintenance do not want to replace it . There are things a tenant can do to get things done, but to be honest with you, I am afraid that trouble will ensue if I withhold my rent or just leave without them knowing. Hmmm it’s tempting! Because the Garden Court Apartments is just falling apart and  has becoming a slum. This place makes me sick and definitely depressed most days and I am glad to leave this place from time to time and I come back and want to head right up to my place right to my bedroom for the rest of the afternoon so I sit in my power chair as often as I can during the day and morning I am home all day or watch tv in my bedroom all day while on the bed sitting on it. Depressing, but what else can I do when my home feels like it’s not a home anymore. This place doesn’t have a good standing anymore!
