First Swim Day of the Year
Sat Jun 19 2004

We took the kids to the pool today, not so much to cool off as to wear them out. They had a friend stay the night last night, and have been wound up all day as a result. A few hours in the swimming pool should guarantee them falling asleep quickly.

I brought my history homework, with the intention of doing reading while the kids swam. Yea, I should've known it wouldn't work. Oh well, I did get a little reading done, but even better I got to watch my babies play in the water and have fun.

Last night was the end of the year formal dinner and dance for #1 & #2. #1 chose not to go, but #2 definitely had a blast. After being fed lasagna (his favorite meal) at the dinner, it sounds like he danced almost every dance with three different girls he hangs out with. He even fit in a dance with his math/science teacher. He went to the dance with $14 in his pocket, and using that he ensured that all three of his ladies had a couple roses and refreshments as needed. He had so much fun and was so excited I thought he would never get to sleep last night. Today, he has continued to talk about it to anyone who will hold still long enough for him to bend their ear.

Right now #2 & #3 are outside setting up a Fathers Day surprise for Hubby and them to have as an activity tomorrow. As #2 told me, “We don’t really know what it’s going to be yet, but it will be fun!”

I’m not sure if I should be afraid or not.

How cute. They sound just like my brother. "Creating" some sort of "Thing". He will lover what ever it is because it came from their heart.
