The rights of every red-blooded American. I love this country!

Yesterday Hubby had driven down to his sisters in order to attend our nephew’s graduation. Originally he was going to flop there overnight and come home today. I got a wonderful surprise when he arrived home late last night.

After seeing his nephew through the graduation ceremony, delivering cards and gifts to nephew and niece (it was her birthday last weekend), he decided to come home last night so he could spend more time with the kids and I. Later today, after the kids are off to school, he wakes up and I become human (this morning that is going to take LOTS of caffeine) we’re going to go drive out to the area we’ve been talking about potentially moving to in the next few years. There are a couple parcels of land I’d like to look at, and we would both like to get more familiar with that area.

Lately, for some unknown reason, #2 has taken to wearing t-shirts belonging to Hubby and me. First off, I will admit that about half of the t-shirts I wear used to be Hubby’s. I have three t-shirts to my name, and one is reserved for wearing while I color my hair (full of holes and stains, so it doesn’t matter if it gets more stained). Hubby has about 20 t-shirts. I didn’t want to spend money buying myself more clothes, so I expanded my wardrobe after ransacking his dresser. Now, back to #2. Two of my t-shirts are in the laundry, and today he has chosen to wear the one that was in the dryer this morning. This leaves me in an interesting situation this morning, as I’m not really sure what I’m going to wear today. I suppose since the weather is supposed to cool down from yesterday I could wear a sweat-shirt, or maybe one of my button down shirts. I’m actually leaning towards ransacking Hubby’s dresser again.

Speaking of Hubby, I believe he thinks I’m slightly whacked. For the past several years, when hanging around the house I will typically wear a tank-top, and either shorts or a light weight pair of sweats. I tend to be warm most of the time, so I turn the heat down, and open doors and windows in order to cool down. While I’m doing this, Hubby is piling on more sweat-shirts and blankets to keep from freezing his butt off. He complains that I keep the house too cold. When I am overly warm, and wearing only shorts and a tank top yet still trying to find ways to cool off, he is cranking the heat up and dressing in enough layers to keep an Eskimo warm and comfy. I am hoping this will even out if I reduce my level of insulation, and have him start taking Niacin.

BIG congrats go out to freshly graduated from college, Fran. Woo-hoo! You Da (wo)Man girl! I bet you’re anxious to get up with Dave now and get ready for next year! See ya at lunch next week!

The ways of teenagers are inscrutable.

    Best leave it alone.

Get shirts with flowers on them.
That MAY keep him away.... ;-)

I find it funny to hear your son using your tshirts. It brought back memories of our siblings' early years stealing each others' t-shirts. when I had this tshirt on my mind to wear while in the shower only to find out my younger sis has left the house wearing it. It was so grrrrrrr....! Lol!

Tank tops and boxer shorts are also my fave house attire. But it is also because I live in a place with a tropical climate.

    Orient:)

I can so identify with always being warm. I have always had an over active thermostat stuck on hot! Tank tops are year round attire for me and who ever invented them is a saint. :)
