While the kids were in school we took a drive out to look as some properties that are on the market. We are currently toying with the idea of buying property to build on in a few years. The first property we both absolutely loved, but it was much further out than we want to be. While driving back from that, Hubby was obviously in a hurry to see the next properties as he was taking 25 MPH curves down from the hills at 50 MPH. As a note here, I have not been carsick since I was about 8 years old. Yesterday I was carsick big time. The winding curves coming down from the hills taken at ridiculous speeds seemed to have claimed my stomach, and I’m still looking for it this morning.
The second property we looked at was perfect as far as the terrain went. However, (oh come on, you knew there would be a however) the power lines directly above most of the property is definitely a draw back. As we walked over the land we both noticed the electronic buzz that had our hair standing on end. Not exactly the type of location we would want to have a house, no-siree Bob.
Today we’re going to go look at a couple more lots. I suspect laundry will also factor largely into the day as the kids are out of socks. There are days I swear that laundry is the only thing in my life that is a constant. Hubby and I are also going to play a mini-version of Clean Sweep and go through the house to find yard sale fodder. We aren’t sure when we’re having a yard sale, but we are planning on one in the near future.
I wonder if the kids will notice if I put all the clothes they love to wear, but are 2 sizes too small for them into the yard sale stuff? I’ll have to hide those items under some romance novels or something.
