Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In the Water
Tue Mar 23 2004

Well, #1 got his half-cast and bandages taken off this morning bright and early. We left the doc with instructions for him to take it easy.

Anticipating a leisurely day, I puttered around the house, and then met Frannikins for lunch. While we were ordering, the phone rang. Would I please come to the school regarding an incident with #1? Fran and I got our lunch to go, and then headed over to the school to investigate what was going on THIS time.

About 30 or so minutes later we left the school with #1 in tow. He is suspended for the rest of the week.

Oh joy.

Well, for the afternoon, he turned the soil in one of the beds I plan to plant in the next couple days. He cleaned the bathroom. He took out all the garbage. He unloaded, and then re-loaded the dishwasher. He preformed kennel duty (the most hated job in the house, which he will now be doing daily for the next month). He has done dinner dishes, and now he is in his room about to be sent to bed for the evening.

One thing I can say is that I’m truly learning more patience with this kid. I may not feel it at the time, but when looking back over the day I realize just how much effort was put into the practice of said virtue.

As of now, I’m anticipating having a very clean house for the next week. #1 has been informed that he will be my slave, and that he is grounded from everything but my whim for the next month.

You know, I think I would prefer a messy house and well behaved kids.

Greetings and Hello! Your #1 sounds like a charmer. I always fancied myself a gyspy, I will buy him from you for a quarter. Yes, I am being generous. I am offering a whole quarter for your #1. This is a good offer, I need a good rough kid to help out around here. hehehehe

Will you sell him? hehehehe I have plenty of dog crap that needs to be tended to. hehehehe Oh yeah, and my Hubby is loaded with duct tape too.

In all honesty, I think you have great kids.

    Bright Blessings and Love..........Bogomils
