The Echo In My Head Is Too Loud
Mon Feb 16 2004

I hate colds. Have I mentioned that before? Well, I'm going to say it again. I HATE COLDS.

I'm at the tympanic stage of the cold. My head is packed solid with what feels like liquid concrete. There just isn't enough cold medication on earth to offer me any relief, or so it seems.

I find myself within reach of kleenex, nose spray and Alka Seltzer no matter where I go.

Unfortunately #1 is going through this with me. I'm not sure which of us feels worse. I feel like he looks, if that makes sense.

A nap sounds so wonderful at this point, but with the kids home, and Hubby at work, I don't dare take a nap without risking the kids getting creative and reducing the mostly clean house to shambles.

Maybe I could talk the kids into watching a video with me in the bedroom and I can nap while they watch. It's worth a try.

May I say an "amen" to the same sex marriage thing? When two people LOVE each other and want to make a legal commitment, what is so wrong with that? It has been proven that homosexuality is a gene passed down from the mother. It is NOT a choice.

Since it is genetic, why in the he-double-hockey sticks is there still so much prejucide? I would rather see a happy, committed gay couple than a bickering hetero couple.

I think ANYONE who is in a committed relationship should be able to share health benefits with their partner.

Whats-his-face, Elizer, called me a socialist for thinking EVERYONE should have health care and university education. We are the ONLY advanced society that does not provide for such things and if I have to pay higher taxes to fund it, so be it. I know what it costs me to send Rachael to college and the tax diff isn't that much.

Ohhhhhh, sorry, I was ranting again............

    Good Morning!

I just stopped in to see how you are doing and I find you with a cold.
Drink plenty of hot broths, hot soups and hot tea.
And, I hope that you start feeling better soon.

Can I hear another 'Amen?' I totally agree with you. If I wanted to marry robin, I should be able to, no matter what. It's my choice, not everybody else's choice.

    Peace out,
    Angel

P.S. I hope you feel better.
