Wild Weather

Today has been amazing. The kids were thrilled by the trace of snow on the ground, and now I'm hearing rumors that it may snow more tonight and tomorrow. The most bizzare instance of the day was the snow and lightening storm in a town to the north of me. Now in that same town it is snowing/hailing/raining but the lightening has finally stopped. Meanwhile a few miles to the west there were reports of cold core funnel clouds. What you ask is a cold core funnel cloud? Think cold, wimpy wannabe-toronado that never touches the ground.

Not surprisingly the kids fell asleep easily today. It seems that playing out in what little snow we had for 2 hours was sufficient to wear them out thoroughly. With the potential of more snow tonight and tomorrow, maybe we will get lucky with them falling asleep without trouble two nights in a row. I can only hope!
