Much better than expected
Thu Jul 10 2003

Our class average definitely dropped with this last quiz. I don't know how everyone did, but I do know that other than mine, there were two scores in the 30's and one in the 70's. I haven't talked with the other 4 students to see how they did. Somehow, and I have no idea how as unprepared as I was, I managed a 100%. I don't feel good about it though. I strongly suspect that many of the answers I got were through sheer dumb luck.

It seems on the carbon dating one, we all got the wrong answer because he not only missed whatever it was regarding the decimal point, but he also forgot to tell us that we had to have paranthesis around key parts of the formula or else the whole thing would be flubbed. And boy were we flubbed!

We will definitely be getting together this weekend for a study session. Our final is a week from Monday, so we may get together a time or two after that to prepare.

OK, now I've gotten that out of my system, I need to go find some strong antihistamine to get the inside of my ears and my eyes to stop itching like crazy!

    I understand molality
    and acid based equality
    I know that's equilibium
    but now I'm in delerium

    in any cubic lattice
    what's the density? I practiced
but the formula's all mushed up now
I've got to pass this test somehow

    rate laws and attractions
    are both giving me distractions
    from the F, the O, the C, the A
    the Ph balance of NA

    Moles per second spinning
    are the rangers finally wininning
will this test ever be over?
could the teachers eyes be colder?

    gotta calculate my chances
    of escaping with a C
    Never knew how much fun
    taking chemistry could be

Ohh, I've done that before, where you think you getting a failing grade and then you end up getting a great grade. Its always a "How in the world!?" reaction. I agree sheer dumb luck, and benevolent quiz-gods. lol.

No-one you see milks better than she
And we know Bossy lives in a world full of wonder
Grazing there under, under the sea!
