Break Time Day Dreams
Sat Jan 10 2004

OK, I've gotten up close and personal with Sigma enough for a while, time to give my brain a break. Playing around with finding the area under a curve has me pretty burned out for the moment. I'm going to take some time to un-numb my brain before playing with distances. I've hidden my books from view, and I'm going to try to not even think of numbers for a while.

At my doc appointment the other day, it was suggested that it wouldn't hurt for me to introduce an aspirin or a glass of wine each day. With that in mind, I'm enjoying a nice glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. A bit on the dry side, but this is wine and not soda-pop after all! This particular wine is a bit more smoky than I've had before, but not bad.

I like wine, and I like the idea of having a decent cellar. I'm not about to go and create a beaten soil floor to maintain adequate humidity, nor am I about to cover my existing floor with gravel or soil and keep it moist. I think Hubby might have a fit if I did. Other than that, keeping it out of the light and in a well ventilated area is not a problem. I would like to have a good storage place in the next house we have, but that is quite a ways off, so I'm no where near planning for it yet.

In thinking of wine, I think about a series of tours I read about a while back. I'm not sure if Hubby would be interested in it, but I definitely would. Combine seeing the world with wine tasting. What could be more perfect? It would, of course, have to wait until the kids were older, as I just don't see us doing this as a family vacation. The tours I've looked at include Australia, Chile, France and Italy. Not all at once mind you, but one every few years. If we ever did this, I would definitely push for doing Australia first.

It is years (or a lottery win) away though, so time to stop day dreaming and consider thinking about numbers again.
