Up-n at-em

Well, I have managed to get myself, #2 & #3 up and all moving in generally the same direction quite early this morning. We will be leaving here shortly to go visit the doc for the kids. Every few months we go to the doc to check on the overall health and growth on the boys in order to get refills of their meds.

Now that school is approaching I will again start medicating the kids daily to their bodies can re-adjust to the routine. I try to keep them off the meds as much as possible during vacations in order to let them grow as much as possible. While these meds do help curb the behavior issues, it also stunts their growth. While in Alaska in a 10 day span of non-medication, #1 grew almost 3/4 of an inch (about 1.9 cm). While #2 & #3 had similar growth surges, they weren't quite as drastic.

After the doc and a few errands I face a mountain of laundry that has my name on it. Ugh. Maybe I could win the lottery and throw them away and just go buy clean clothes. OK, maybe not.

On the bright side, it looks like it will be a warm sunny day. Perhaps a trip out to the lake or a bike ride is in order after all the chores are done. Yippee-ki-yay!

The true measure of a Health Care system is not how well the better off are looked after,
and let's face it, the military are (generally) well looked after in most countries.
The real measure is how well the poorest and worst off are looked after.
How well does the US measure up there?
