Closing Out the Weekend
Sun Jan 30 2011

I seem to be lacking will power and initiative this weekend as I've only accomplished two of the items on my significantly longer to-do list.

Hubby and I did get out to the Home Show yesterday as we do every year, and managed to not come home with the pile of brochures we usually do. We also got our shopping done yesterday instead of today, which lended to a much lazier Sunday than usual.

We were going to go to church this morning, until I discovered the clothes I thought were clean and hanging in my closet were either in the washer, dryer, or very wrinkled in the basket. So.... I've been focusing on laundry today. Yippie.

I've got steaks marinating, waiting to go under the broiler in a bit. I need to get the broccoli ready to steam and the salad ready to go for the rest of the dinner. I've been craving a sweet dessert lately, which I've also been avoiding like crazy. I already slipped off the diet enough this week, I need to re-lose the 3 pounds I re-gained, and get back on a losing streak.

All-in-all, a wonderfully boring weekend with the exception of the reports we've seen on TV regarding the situation in Egypt right now.

We got all decadent the other day and made a sugar free devil's food choc cake and "frosted" it with sugar free Jello dark chocolate pudding. My hubby keeps having inappropriate thoughts about it.......

RYC: He's currently on a regiment of three 60-75 g. carb meals, and three snacks (mid morning, late afternoon, and after dinner)with 15-30 g. of carbs so it's not like he's going long stretches without eating but you may be right in that we need to more equally balance out the carbs. I'll talk to the NP about it when we get an appointment. He'll probably refer us back to the nutritionist which is fine because we need some answers *sigh*
