Done For The Day

21 jars of Marionberry jam later, I am tuckered out and ready for sleep (particularly since I have to be up at the obscene hour of 4:30 tomorrow morning for my indentured servitude at Sears).

As I’m coming up with a few extra berries when I do each batch, they go into the freezer bag with the blueberries, and some of the currants, black & gold raspberries, and tayberries that ripen in the back yard. I should have a good variety of “leftovers” when I’m done with all the jam over the next few weeks, and I suspect my sugarless triple-berry jam for my Dad will have enough to make it an exciting batch or batches of jam to make. I’m considering tossing in some of the rhubarb to the mix just for good measure. If I can find the right bribe, I can probably get the kids to go through the woods to find some thimble berries and salmon berries to add to the potpourri of potential jam ingredients!

OK, now I’m really done. G’night!
