Because of this, I don’t see us having much success doing math lessons today. I typically sit and do them directly with the boys (that is the only way I’ve found that they leave the lesson with any type of retention), and I have this mental image of me trying to conduct the lesson then unexpectedly breaking out in song.
OK, I probably wouldn’t break out in song, but you get the idea.
I think maybe I’ll give the kids a writing assignment to work on; perhaps something quasi-interesting like writing a one page persuasive paper on why somebody should read their favorite book.
I need to start shopping for the holidays.
I need to pay bills.
I need to do some housework.
I don’t want to do any of these.
I think I’ll head on over to The Jigzone for some distraction for a bit.
