August Already?
Fri Aug 03 2007

Where's a Time Turner when you need one? If you don't know what a Time Turner is, you must not be a Harry Potter nut. I can't believe it's August already! What happened to June and July?

Today is dragging for Hubby, #2 and I. We do know why though.

Yesterday we drove down to a Drum Corps show and enjoyed it thoroughly. We picked up our niece and took her with us; it's safe to say she enjoyed it quite a bit.

The show started at 8, and got out at 11. We then took niece home and made our drive home. We arrived home just after 2:30am, and we had to be up at 6:00 for work/school. It's amazing how running on 3 hours of sleep can cause the day to drag!

While I want to take a nap, I'm afraid if I do I won't be able to get to sleep later tonight. Since I have to work tomorrow morning, I want to fall asleep without any problems this evening. So, I'm staying awake and planning on an early evening followed by a long night of sleep.

Why is it long nights of sleep always feel so short?

I told my boss today that I'm going to be looking more aggressively for a job in the very near future, so she might want to start looking for my replacement. Hopefully we will get someone decent in there fairly quickly so I don't feel guilty when I do leave.

Ok, time to go find another way to keep myself awake for a few more hours.

Cleaning out the closet works pretty well. Scrubbing the kitchen floor is exhausting, so leave that for another time.

    Bless the day

A good night's sleep is becoming an art form.

I am re-thinking my own habits and trying to come up with better strategies.

Hope you sleep like a baby with a full tummy!
