Good To Go
Tue Jul 31 2007

Mom had her follow up appointment yesterday, and everything was good to go. The doc gave Mom the thumbs up to go back home to Alaska, but she can’t fly.

Dad found a room on a ferry that left this evening, so I drove Mom, Dad and #3 up to the ferry terminal and got them off to Alaska. #3 was incredibly excited to find out that he got to travel the next three days on a big boat, with a high chance of him seeing whales, sea lions, porpoise and all other sorts of critters found along the inside passage. He is also excited about spending the next month up in Alaska fishing with Grandpa, chopping wood, and doing all other sorts of fun stuff kids do with their grandparents.

Meanwhile… I found out yesterday that the job I was hoping to get has been frozen, so I’m getting ready to start spamming my resume out as the start of school for the kids gets closer. I’m keeping on the lookout between now and then for anything that looks good that may pop up in Monster or on Dice.

As for now… it’s time for bed. G’night!

This and waterspriteflying are the first DD mail I've gotten in six days. Maybe more will follow?

Too bad about the job. A better one will come along.

#3 gets to spend a month in Alaska with grandparents. Oh, will he ever lord it over his brothers when he gets back. Wow!!

    Bless the day

That DOES sound exciting! Hell, *I* would be excited about the whole boat thing. :)

    Glad mom's feeling better!
