Let It Snow!
Tue Nov 28 2006

Snow. Lots and lots of snow.

OK, maybe not LOTS and LOTS, but enough to close the schools and most businesses. We get a lot of rain around here, but the tiniest bit of snow tends to close everything down. Well, everything except where Hubby and I seem to work. Our jobs never seem to be affected by the weather like the rest of the world around us.

I’ve been pressing the kids for their Christmas lists for a few weeks now. I’ve got a couple scraps of paper with illegibly written lists on it, so I’ve given the kids another option. Nothing for Christmas! It’s amazing how quickly that made them want to create new lists on the computer, or more clearly written lists. Funny how that works!

I’m hoping my school gets cancelled tonight as I really don’t want to drive in this stuff. They cancelled it last night with just a dusting, so hopefully it will be closed again tonight with more snow and lots of ice. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

OK, time to get back to my homework. Yippee-skippee!

    Snow! What a lovely thought.

I know I over-romanticise it, as it's a long time since I lived anywhere that it snowed. But I do associate it with some very happy times. And I do feel the wrongness of our seasons at this time of year! It should be cold for Christmas!

Best wishes for your Christmas planning.

Christmas lists? Oh boy! And three kids? I am so free of that and so pleased about it.

    Harry & David for everybody.

    Shalom

Ah, we never even got enough to warrant going outside, much less generate any laundry. *whine*

Next for here, according to my daughter: freezing rain. Oh goody.

    Hope you fare better!

You asked for it! I'm praying for the 70 degre temps to stick around, but it's supposed to be a high of 29 on Friday. Boo.

Maybe you should change your name to "Ficklemom" instead of Allimom!!!

So far, I have never had enough snow.

Maybe one day I will reach my limit.

    But not today.

And thank God for washing machines and dryers.

    ;-)

You might like to start doing what I started doing when my kids were in middle school. They each do their own laundry. I just have to do my husband and mine, towels, tablecloths etc. The kids each run their own. I am down to one day a week for doing laundry. It is GREAT!

    Yes, I'm jealous.

    I want some snow too!
