#2
Thu Nov 09 2006

Well, the lesson continues for #2. He is doing somewhat OK on the "being Mom" front at home, although he has fallen behind on dishes and laundry. Some of that has to do with him spending time on homework and not the household chores, but I have faith he can get caught up on those things after school today.

Hubby has the day off and I work until noon. I suspect when I get home we will be taking the van somewhere to be fixed. I will leave it up to Hubby to call around and find somewhere to take it to while I'm at work. If he doesn't, I'll just call the dealer and take it there. We need it fixed SOON!

OK, off to light fires under the kids and go to work. Yippie!

Car trouble seems to be contagious in DDLand. I hope my geriatric Dodge can avoid any problems. I simply do not want to spend my vacation money on the car!!!!

How about #2's attitude? Is he gaining a respect for Mom and all she does?

    Shalom

I'm sure #2 will have some new found respect for you after this lesson is over. If he's doing it all without complaining, then he's realising how hard it all is....so yay :)

Hope the Van fixing goes well!

Actually, you probably can rent a dehu. but no bigger a space than you're talking about you'd probably spend less picking one up at Sears (do you get an employee discount????)

If there was ever a love/hate relationship, it's with our cars. They're expensive to buy and to operate. It's almost like raising another kid. Just the general upkeep is expensive, and we never know when a broken arm or turn signal is going to happen. And it's not something to be ignored. And that squeak in the front end could be likened to that wheezy cough. Is it a belt or something expensive/is it a little cold or is it the flu?

I hope you can find the leak and fix it cheaply. And all in DDLand will celebrate with you when you can buy new.

    Shalom

Maybe you should find a different mechanic.

Yikes on the mechanic stuff. We've still got to take ours in and I won't relax until we hear the end figure. What a nightmare!
