Down Time
Tue Sep 12 2006

Hubby has this week off from work. We went to the fair yesterday, and today we picked up the car my folks shipped down here. We will be delivering the car to their place this weekend.

Tonight we have the neighborhood Home Owners Association meeting, it will be interesting and we will be asking questions about what we can do about the creative parking our new neighbors across the street have come up with. I also need to get the number for their property managers so I can make complaints to them. I'm tired of garbage in the street and people parking on my grass or blocking the road. It has happened every night since the party the other day.

Ok, so put the HOA on speed dial instead of 911. I stopped a person walking past my house the other day because he felt it necessary to deposit his Pepsi bottle in the flower pot by the driveway. I politely told him it wasn't a trash can so he picked it up and threw it on my lawn and told me to do something with myself that I'm pretty sure is physically impossible. What the little punk didn't know was that I know his grandfather rather well. The result was that the little punk spent a good part of his Sunday afternoon picking every little speck of trash out of my yard with Grandpa supervising from the chair on my front porch. Grandpa even made him pull a few weeks for good measure, lol. I had the golf outing but I heard all about it from Grandpa and saw the result in my yard ;).

Maybe you can politely ask your new neighbors for a number of a responsible adult so that said adult can twist their ears until they learn to be Good Neighbors

Any car with its tires firmly planted in your grass is fair game for towing.....at their expence I might add. :)

After HOA I'd put the tow company on speed dial too. :)

Obviously, those kids and their friends haven't been fotched up proper-like.

My generation, the fogies nowadays, would never have tolerated such bad manners. One phone call. That's all it would take.

But then, I lived in a small town. My misdeeds preceded me home.

    Shalom

I think a session with the property managers would be in order. They don't seem to use good sense in accepting renters.

I'm thinking that I like the HOA's policy on illegally parked cars and might just push for something like that in my neighborhood.
