Still Raw After 5 Years

I'm still in shock on this day. I neatly tuck it away in the back of my mind for most of the rest of the year, but on this day I'm still raw.

We honor those we lost on that day, and meanwhile terrorists are being called around the world to attack America in any way they can.

For those here in America who want us out of the Middle East, do you REALLY think that the extremists will not try something like this again? Why on earth would you want to make the world a safer place for THEM???????

Wake up and smell the dust, whether we are in the Middle East or not, we are at war. The question is--do we want to give them an unopposed chance at something like this again?

For those of you who want to hold hands and share warm fuzzy feelings while protesting the war on terror, you go right ahead. As for me, I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE! There are too many terrorists out there that need to be brought to justice, and I'm not about to support anyone who wants to divert our troops from that mission.

    Amen sister.

I was watching this CIA guy on tv yesterday. He is scared as hell. There are groups all over the place frothing at the mouth to do something horrific. Getting out of Iraq will only convince the rabid mob that they are suceeding.

When are some people going to WAKE UP?

I watched 60 Minutes and the update on the Naudet brothers' original documentary on CBS.

I was spellbound, angry, sad, horrified over the deliberate, hateful attack. In awe of the firefighters who responded to the attack. Their dedication to the task at hand, unmindful of the danger to themselves. Civilians who did what they could to help.

    Heroes all.

I learned that 20,000 people had been saved in that holocaust. The number of dead has been highly publicized, but that's the first time I heard of the number of people saved.

The ongoing health problems of the people in the area has me stunned. Thousands and thousands of people will die sooner or later from breathing the dust. And the government's response to that has been dilatory. Sad.

    Shalom

Wow, you actually believe Middle Eastern extremists caused 9-11?

    Now that's scary to me.

    I agree...wake up.

    I could not agree more!

I was stunned to hear that 36% of Americans actually believe that 9-11 was a government plot or that the government knew in advance and let it happen. I don't see how any thinking person could look at that day and believe such drivel, but then again, I have a friend who belives Hamas and Hezbollah are just your basic friendly groups seeking peace and that Israel is the world's biggest bully. It feels like a world gone mad sometimes. *sigh*

As for me and my house....we support our troops and hope they put the terrorists out of their misery ASAP. The world can only be a better place if these extremists are dispatched post haste to meet all the virgins they believe await them.
