Quiet Summer Day
Mon Jun 26 2006

Today has been quite blissful for the most part. I took #1 to the orthodontist for his routine torture this morning bright and early (OK, OK it was at 9:00, but for a summer day that IS early!), and have been plugging away at laundry and reading since then.

I'm in the process of washing EVERYTHING after the family was sick over the weekend. I want to feel like there aren't flu germs crawling all our beds and clothes. Doing this I have discovered that I need a few more drying racks. There are some things I don't like putting through the dryer, and frankly during the summer I prefer to hang dry things rather than run the dryer and heat it up any more in here than it already is. I may make a run up to the store here in a bit and purchase a few more for any subsequent laundry loads today.

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I have an eye appointment in the morning in which my eyes will be dilated, and then I get to drive home in the bright sunshine. I’ve had to do that a time or two, and it isn’t fun. Things like this make me really wish at least one of the kids had his drivers permit!

Tomorrow evening should be more enjoyable. We’re having Hubby’s best friend over for dinner. I suppose I should find something to cook. Maybe have Hubby fill the propane tank and go with steaks, burgers, chicken, dogs or all of the above. Filling the fridge with left-over grilled meats would sure make meals for the rest of the week a cinch!

It is the greatest thing in the summer to have a lot of already cooked food in the fridge.

It's like money in the bank!

Ah. I see a new picture of Who is....

Whenever I have my eyes checked, I always have to drive home into the sun. Can't seem to make my appointments so that the sun is still on the other side of my shoulder. However, I do get some really dark shades, and I sit in the office for an hour before leaving. But, then, I don't have 3 rambunctious boys to get home to, either.

    Shalom

Sometimes you just can't beat an old fashioned clothes line. I have often thought I should put one in especially when we have weather like this. I'm way behind on the laundry, but don't want to run the dryer either.

BBQ sounds like the best idea I've heard so far today!!!
Good luck with your eyes.. I don't react well to that stuff.. and they don't manufacture the quick acting stuff any more.. the drug companies couldn't find any other uses for it.. except fast dilation and then quickly wears off.. so they can't make enough money on it.. and it is no longer available.. (according to my eye doc)
Good luck anyway.. wear dark shades.. and have someone drive you after!!!!!!!

Thought of you when I went pass theater playing the movie... i so want to see.
