Breakfast of Champions ... or Something.

The theme of this morning is donuts. More specifically, Krispy Kreme donuts.

and the donut assembly line was fascinating to all.

We came home where the boys settled down to watch a bit of Monty Python & the Holy Grail while the batteries for my camera re-charge. This gives me the chance to run some laundry through before we head to the Boeing Museum of Flight a little later.

Sunday's Events

I have tons of pictures to post but no time to download them until tomorrow, so I will beg patience from everyone for that.

The kids had a blast at the museum today. We spent about 3 hours checking out every plane, display and event there was. They had a WW2 feature, displaying all the planes from all countries involved, that was cool!

We did the tour of the original Air Force One and the Concorde, very neat.

I'm off to herd the kids in the direction of bed now... wish me luck!

Quick Entry

I got a chuckle from the Aussie kids tonight at dinner. I fixed homemade Turkey Soup for dinner (turkey, barley, carrots, celery, turnips some spices and thickened with mashed potatoes). I didn't get any comments from one of the boys about the dinner, but the other claims that he LOVES the taste but HATES the texture.

Dessert was Marionberry Pie. It was too sweet/tart for one of the boys and the other licked his plate clean and asked if we could have it for dessert again tomorrow night. I think I can definitely arrange that.

Tomorrow night is going to be crazy with my starting school and Hubby taking the kids to Civil Air Patrol. I wanted to see that the kids were offered unique things each night, but tomorrow is going to be spaghetti. I'm going to start it in the morning and let it cook in the crock pot all day. That way everyone can eat when they are ready.

Which reminds me, I'd better make sure I've got some pasta in the cupboard.

I'm not much for Krispy Creme doughnuts, but my whole family likes them except for my Aunt she and I both like dillons or walmart doughnuts. Have a great relaxing Sunday.

Sounds like you are doing lots of fun stuff with them!

I wonder how the Aussies are coping with it being Winter in January :o)

What a coincidence... I ruined my New Year's diet by bingeing on Krispy Kreme glazed donuts twice this week, to the tune of a half-dozen each time... :-P

It was my downfall when the neighborhood supermarket started carrying them... before that, they were only a once-in-a-blue-moon treat as the actual donut shop is all the way over on the other side of town...
