I'm not sure if I should be worried or not, but #1 is muttering something about trying to build a time machine before school to make the day go faster.
I think I'd better go lock up Hubby's power tools...
Our students were supposed to be here a half hour ago, but there was a flight delay and they won't be here until about 9 tonight instead. These poor kids are going to be exhausted!
#1 is chomping at the bit with anticipation for the kids to get here. It is possible that he is just as (if not more so) excited as the Aussie kids are about this visit.
I had originally planned to have Taco Salad for dinner tonight, but while I was upstairs folding laundry, #1 and #2 both fixed themselves dinner. Oh well, we will have it tomorrow night. We did a “do-it-yourself” dinner night instead. Everyone has eaten except for #3, and I can’t convince him that he needs to eat dinner soon. I finally told him that the kitchen closes at 7:30, so he has 12 minutes to get himself dinner. That got him moving. I’m hearing dismayed sounds as we don’t have any small cans of chili, and he is rummaging through the pantry to find a suitable substitute for that. I suspect he will end up with a peanut butter sandwich, but I’m not going to suggest it yet. I’ll let him look around a bit more first.
The boys arrived safely about an hour ago, and everyone is winding down now getting ready to bunk down for the evening.
