Starting Out Early
Wed Jan 04 2006

Amazingly, I didn't feel the need to take a nap this morning. I did get more sleep as we persuaded Shelby to go to bed and stay there by 11 last night.

This morning I got to take Indigo to the vet to have her nails trimmed. Her nails are too big for normal doggy nail clippers (we have broken 2 different pairs trying to trim them at home), so we have it done at the vet. It should be noted that having her nails trimmed is the only thing Indigo hates worse than a bath.

Trying to hold a 112 pound squirming reluctant dog still so someone can trim her nails is … interesting to say the least.

I’ve got several errands to run today, and I’m continuing to weed away at Mt. Everest in my laundry room. I foresee a busy day today. Shelby won’t be happy with it as I have to crate her whenever I’m not downstairs with her. Since the laundry room is upstairs, and the errands are away from the house, I suspect she will be in her crate more than she would like. I need to remember to get a couple soup bones to make it up to her.

Day-O-Chores & Errands

I got everything done today that I needed to except run to the bank and go to the store. I'm going to do that this evening after dinner, I need some down time for a bit!

I have two vacuum cleaners, one I keep upstairs and the other downstairs. My favorite one is the downstairs one, and today it seems to have come down with a cold. It isn’t working as well as it should, and I need to pull it apart to see if I can find what is causing the congestion. I may give this task to #1 as he loves to take things apart and put them back together. He even manages to not have too many pieces left over!

I can’t say too much about that kind of thing. I used to take apart phones and small appliances when I was in high school, and I usually only had left over pieces when I took the phones apart, the appliances never gave me left over pieces.

As I remember it, the phones never quite rang the same after I was done playing with them…

Great job getting Shelby into bed early! How old is she now? Her schedule should be evening out here soon :)

When I got to work this morning I was shocked to discover that we had no Milgo. I was in complete panic mode when Stinky told me we were getting a case in this afternoon *phew*. It arrived and I've got your box ready to go to UPS first thing in the morning. I'll send it second day so you should have it by Monday at the latest. If I can get it there early enough you might even get it by Friday, which is my hope.

Give Shelby and the kids ear rubs, lol

The extent of my experimenting with things in high school was taking apart oragami and finding out how to re-fold them without being shown....

I always admired those who could dismantle an appliance, super-ify it, and put it back together. Left over pieces is just you making the appliance lighter and more efficent - tee hee :o)
