Name Changes & Early Mornings
Tue Jan 03 2006

OK, Shelby's name is now Mud.

For the last two nights, just about the time I'm ready to go to sleep Shelby decides it is time to wake up and spend the next three hours playing. Last night, I finally gave up at about 12:30, put her in her crate, went to bed and spent the next half hour listening to her complain about her fate.

I had no sympathy.

5:00 came WAAAAAAAAAAAY too early this morning after that, resulting in my hitting the snooze on my alarm clock until a little past 5:30. Much to my surprise, #1 was the first one up and going. It was refreshing to not have to keep at him to get up and ready for school. I had originally planned on taking the kids to school and talking with the teacher that is coordinating everything with the students coming in on Thursday, but driving while I'm this tired is out of the question. Needless to say, I see a nap in my near future!

My current sleep (or lack thereof) schedule for the past couple years sure makes me glad I'm in school and not working! I can't begin to imagine trying to drive to work most mornings! Of course, on the flip side, if I were working my mind might be tired enough at night to be able to fall asleep earlier. Who knows?

I do need to make sure my nap this morning isn't too long. I need to go sign up for classes this term sometime today. I still can't believe I'm willing taking two math classes. And one of them a Friday class at that. Ugh! I'm starting to think I may be nuts.

OK, time to go find breakfast. I don't think I can muster up enthusiasm for oatmeal this morning, maybe I'll see what goodness in my near future!

Signed, Sealed & Delivered... almost

It's done. I am signed up for classes this term and it is all paid for nice and neat. Well, maybe not nice. It is never easy to part with $1300!

My Friday night class should be interesting as the instructor gave a notification with the purchase of the book that he will not be here from Jan 13 through the 23, so we need to make other arrangements with him to cover the classes that will be missed. Yippy-skippy.

I need to go over the paperwork he included, and look over the text books for both classes to get an idea of what I need to get in a mind-set for.

I also got a tentative schedule for next term. If it all stays as-is, I will probably be taking Linear Algebra and the last English class I need. At this point there are no other classes being offered that I can take, so I hope the schedule doesn’t have any changes! Now I just need to hope and pray that they offer the computer class I need before I can take the rest of the classes in the term after that!

OK, enough school thoughts. Time to face the laundry. Oh-boy, what fun…?

Then I suppose this wouldn't be a good time to tell you that at about 10:30 last night, Sunny ambled into our bedroom and went to sleep in her bed....

I'm telling you, the doggie fairy was smilling on me when I drove 100 miles in the rain!

Thank God for crates. It's the same as a crib or playpen. I could not raise children with out those two things!!!

Dang! seems like household chores are always intruding on more interesting activities.

You've set yourself up for a challenging semester. I'm not a numbers person, myself, and the math courses you're taking leave me completely DUH!

And that's a lot of money you're handing out!!!

    Shalom

RYQ: the good news is you're actually dealing with mildew because mold won't grow on synthetic fibres which is all they use for vehicle carpets. That makes your task MUCH easier.

First things first. Get the car into the garage and put a portible dehumidifier in it to get it dried out. That'll take a few days and can be helped along by a plain old box fan. While you're busy getting it dry I will send you a product called MilGo. It's an anti-fungal agent. I'll send it in a spray bottle so you won't have to worry about mixing it.

This part is absolutely imperative: WEAR A FACE MASK when you spray. Because it's a fungicide/bacteriacide you don't want to inhale it. It isn't a particularly dangerous product but some caution is warranted. After it's sprayed on and settles the kids could roll around in it with no hazards.

I'll get it in the mail to you tomorrow. You won't need the whole spray bottle full so you can use the remained on your shower curtains or whatever.
