Meal Preparation Day

Today is the day I will (hopefully) be spending most of my time in the kitchen. I will be getting all of the ingredients chopped and put together so they can just be thrown together and cooked tomorrow. Today is also Turkey Brining Day. I’ve got the brine on the stove working up to a boil and then it will be cooled down and put over the turkey to create a bird that will be moist and full of flavor tomorrow.

I’m using a different recipe this year, borrowed from Alton Brown (my SIL’s favorite cooking show host). It sounds wonderful, and I will let everyone know after tomorrow how it turned out. For anyone interested in taking a peek at it, here is the website for the recipe.

And now, it is time for me to get back to my ingredient preparation! These onions sitting in front of me should have me crying in no time!
