Getting Started
Tue Nov 22 2005

Well, I did it.  I started my Christmas shopping.  I've got a few things for the kids, some things for my folks, and something for Hubby.  Heck, I even got them wrapped and hidden away in the closet.  Of course I know they won't stay hidden, there isn't really any place to "hide" them.  Truth be told, they are sitting on the floor in the middle of the closet.  But they are wrapped!

I considered doing some baking today, to try to make up for the botched cookies last night, but after doing the shopping and wrapping I've cut my afternoon time down.  I need to start getting ready for school in a little bit.  I've decided to relax instead of bake.  I'll do some baking tomorrow.  Maybe.

I also bought my Christmas cards today.  My intention is to get them all written and sent out this weekend.  I don't know if it will happen... but that is my intention.

OK, I guess I'd better get my gift wrapping mess cleaned up.

Weighing The Benefits vs. The Difficulties With My Class

I think I mentioned before, but in case I didn't, my instructor has decided that she can give us all the material we need for the class in one night a week rather than two nights. While this does have benefits, it also has fall-backs.

She has advertised to us that she is online and available through MSN Messanger every evening in case we have problems or questions.

Now, the issue I have with all of this; she doesn't know the material she is supposed to be teaching us. Questions submitted to her aren't answered. If and when she does answer us, it is in non-answers.

We were supposed to have class tonight, but for some reason it was cancelled.

I'm not begrudging anyone who may be sick or having problems getting into the school. BUT... out of the 16 classes we paid for and are supposed to be getting, we were down to 8 before tonight and are now at a whopping 7 whole classes for the term if no more are missed before the end of term in 2 weeks.

We were supposed to get our mid-term tonight, I IM'd her and she replied that she would e-mail them to us. I'm just hoping that she is able to answer any questions I have through the messanger or e-mail.

GRUMBLE...GRUMBLE...GRUMBLE!!!!

I need to start thinking about little Chanukah gifts for Rowena. She's the only one in the family I do that for, but it still takes some thinking.

Maybe I should start thinking about baking cookies. Trouble is, I eat them, too.

    Shalom

It's nice to be on top of things. It's WAY more fun than being under a pile of "to do" lists!

I did check the Sheltie Rescue. They want 350 dollars. I'm afraid that's way over my budget.

But they have two real nice Shelties right now.

I never shopped early until the last two years. It sure makes things a whole lot less hectic! Congrats to you for being so organized!~
