When It Rains, It Pours
Fri Sep 23 2005

As I mentioned before, I have a cousin who lives in Louisiana.  After Katrina he moved his family to his parents home until he could get his own home repaired and liveable again, which is estimated to be 4 to 6 months.

His parents live just outside of Houston.

I haven't heard from him in a few days, but hopefully will hear from him as soon as he and all of his family are safe.

His parents (my uncle & aunt) are not the only ones in the Houston area.  I've got another aunt and a couple handfuls of cousins in that area also.  Needless to say, my prayers are with them all.

We were moving from Austin to Pasadena 1952 or 1953. '52 I think, when we got the edge of a hurricane that pretty much tore up Galveston.

I think I'd just as soon take a chance on a California earthquake.

I hope your relatives are safe.

    Shalom

As I put in my entry, I'm praying too. This waiting is terrible, though.
