A Day In The Life

I've been tagged by Kaliko, so here it goes:

5 years ago:
September 2000, the twins were 10, #3 was 6 and I was 24 for yet another year.  I was still working full time and active in Cub Scouts (as co-leader of the den) with the twins and Tiger Scouts with #3 (as the den leader).  My mom had been in a very serious car accident in August that year and was still hospitalized.  I split my time between work, visiting her, home and scouting activities.  Hubby had just finished his Officer training and received his commission.  Most importantly to my kids, this is when we started reading the Harry Potter series together.  I would read to the kids in the evenings while they drew pictures.  #1 and #2 would occasionally take a chapter to read aloud when my voice needed a break.

(Donating to charities, buying new cars and traveling around the world are DUH items, so I'll not mention those and go on to the other things I'd do with the money)
Pay off all my debts and my family's debts
Set up college funds for my boys, nieces and nephews
Pull my kids out of public schools and have them educated by private tutors
Create a music based non-profit youth organization in my community (probably but not necessarily a drum corps)
Buy a good chunk of property to build my dream house on, including a barn and several different types of animals

A tropical island in the Caribbean (but only if it wasn't hurricane season)
Alaska (preferrably when the salmon are running, but other times of the year are OK too)
