A Day In The Life

Have I mentioned lately that Hubby ROCKS? 

He had today off so we could take the kids to the fair.  When it was time for the kids to get ready for school he got them ready and out the door while letting me go up to our bed and sleep for a few hours until it was time to go get the kids.

I’ve been on the couch downstairs with the pup since we got her.  Initially we brought the pup and her crate up to the room.  Hubby didn’t wake up so well with her, and my trying to navigate the stairs half asleep while carrying the pup downstairs to put her out was a little more precarious than I cared to continue doing on a regular basis.  So… rather than risking a broken neck to make sure the pup got out on time, I moved down to the couch until she is sleeping longer at night.

Hopefully it is soon.  Last night she was only up once, I’m hoping tonight will be the same.  If she can go three nights on that kind of schedule, I’m moving back up to the bed.  While I have a comfortable couch, my bed is MUCH more comfortable.

Shelby is doing better during the day (as long as I’m quick to get her out the door when she runs to it) and now I have hope for the nights.

Boy I hope I didn’t just jinx it.
