I had hoped to have the applesauce canned before the kids got home, but that will not be the case. They are due home in about 25 minutes, and I should be just about ready to start the canning part of making the applesauce about then.
Oh well, that gives me the opportunity to be in the kitchen and encourage them to sit at the table to do their homework. Who knows, maybe I could even lend a hand with their Geometry homework? Of course, that would depend on them actually asking for help.
I’ve had school on my mind lately for more than just the kids. My classes should start on or about October 17 (depending on which classes I decide to take). There is an English class on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 5 – 7:40 I hope to get into, a computer class Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:50 – 10:30 I need (even though I hate that time slot), and a theater class on Saturday morning from 8:00 – 1:00. I hate Saturday classes, but that is the only day and time that the arts related classes are offered. I need one class in any of the “fine arts” to meet the graduation requirement. I’m going to talk to a different counselor next week though. The one I spoke with a while back wouldn’t give me a straight answer as to whether I could fulfill that requirement at the Community College. It would be nice to pick up that class during the day and for a lower cost!
