Smooshing Apples

I'm well on my way to making applesauce.  I'm taking a break now after my feet lodged a protest at standing in one spot for the last hour and a half.  

I've gotten through peeling & slicing about half the apples I've got, and those completed ones are in a rather large pot on the stove waiting to join with their brother and sister apples so I can cook 'em down and smoosh 'em up.
