Waiting
Wed Jul 20 2005

Well, my blood has been drawn and #2's foot has been x-rayed. Now we just need to wait for call backs from the docs to see if/what the next step is.

I'm really hoping for #2's sake (and my sanity) that nothing is seen on the x-ray and he can resume normal bouncing off the wall activities.

I never cared much for camping--and especially tenting--after I grew up.

I do remember som wonderful summer vacations in the mountains in Idaho. The only thing Idaho doesn't have is a seashore. But there are plenty of lakes.

Glad all is well, and #2 can start bouncing off the walls again. Suppose you could build his very own brick wall? Tougher than house walls.

    Shalom

Gawd, Alli, I'm sorry to hear about your MIL's troubles. I hope you can convince her to try it otherwise she is liable to become dispondant and stop communicating altogether *sigh*

Woo Hoo for #2.. now he can resume his life
Kody has had many injuries.. including the time he was hit by a car while he was in the Ped.Crossing Lane.. and the guy didn't get a ticket.. and the cop blamed GS for having a skateboard.. which on the news it showed a whole skateboard and when the cop returned it .. he has kicked it in two .. I don't know what he had against the kids skaters but obviously he had a problem..
The other cop I spoke to about it.. said he would have written it up totally different

Enjoy the camping. I want to go so bad I can taste it
Haven't been able to cuz of GS's court and other stuff for the past 2 yrs
I swear I at least have to go to the lake or reservoir this year
    :P
    enjoy

Many years ago I took a course in ASL. I'm not familiar with New Jersey signing.

My arthritic fingers don't work too well for signing any more, but I still remember a lot.

I've seen studies on signing with hearing babies, and it ends up they later learn a lot faster academically. I've also seen studies with autistic children.

It's a great way to communicate, and 99% of the population can't eavesdrop. *laughs*

When I was in HS, I dated a boy who was deaf. We had a good time because we used his deafness and my need to learn to communicate with him as a way to grow in our relationship. We eventually broke up because his family moved. Unfortunately, I didn't continue to practice sign so I am no longer fluent in it. I have encouraged my children to learn sign for many reasons and only one of them being communication with friends. There are many times when business would benefit to catering to people with hearing deficiency.

Glad to hear #2 is well and off to destroy the house as all little boys do. I know you were relieved as well.

Thank you..again.. for reminding me about 8/12-13. I was telling my kids and Thomas about it. We are going to camp out in our back yard. Hopefully, we will be able to see everything the universe will be offering.

    Have a good night!

OH, gee, what next? Even if you can't walk, there are still exercises you can do to help with the weight loss. It isn't as if you're confined to bed. Although...walking is considered the best all-round exercise.

    Tch!

Re the NJ sign language. I've heard it by a different name, and no, it isn't the kind of sign language you use around your kids. But everyone recognizes it!

What luck! You sound like me sometimes when it comes to best laid plans. Over the weekend, I was cleaning house, on my hands and knees cleaning house. People show up and stay the day. No house cleaning the rest of the weekend. It was like they had broken that thread of thought. LOL!! Anyway, I hope everything works out ok and you are able to resume normal activities soon.

We have a mall that is about 30min away. I could probably go there but I really enjoy the park. I used to "mall walk" years ago when my children were young. I was there in the am and pm.

    Have a great Thursday!

You are the first person that has talked about this and it sounds just like what I have in my feet. Altho I have not been dianosed with it. I was reading the foot sight you put up....
And the amazing thing is, I have flat feet, am on my feet alot and my favorite shoes I wear are over the hill. All three bad factors for me.
First of all, I need to get NEW shoes, with good arch support. Also, I cannot wear shoes with heels,so I wear clogs. My heal bone sometimes swells up 3 times it's size with inflamation.
I am on inflamatory medication and it helps 95% of the time.
    Thanks for the information.

My dear friend Di suffered from that for years. She tried all sorts of things including stretching exercises and several different orthodics; nothing much helped. Then she found a shoe designed to take the pressure off the heel. She loves them and is back to walking 5 miles a day pain free. I can't remember the name of them, but can get you the info if you are interested. They are expensive, but she says worth every penny.
