Scurrying About

Today will be a day of running around. #1 has an appointment with the orthodontist to get another mold to replace yet another retainer that Hellby ate. Why they can’t use the mold they made the last time this happened is beyond me.

I’ve got Shelby distracted with a bowl of ice cubes so I can get some things done around the house before I start my running. They keep her almost as occupied as soup bones do! Boy does that dog LOVE to chew, often much to my chagrin as she is indiscriminate about what she chews.

I need to work more on my English paper, but that will be later today as I just don’t have time to get to it now. I need to finish up so I can start reviewing it for my most frequently committed errors, which involves parallel structure. I tend to write like I speak, or at least like I think; I don’t always follow all the rules of proper English when doing so!

OK, time to face the dishes, and then…laundry.

    Yeah, they will pick up anything that's not nailed down, unfortunately. This makes it easier when training them to hunt, of course, but bad when they steal yet another pair of socks (or, in Digit's case, my dad's hats or any pair of flip flops that are left on the floor).

    I think you and I have more in common than we think. I'm 41 and can so relate to the perimenoposal moments. Except, mine was induced by a hysterectomy. Sleepless nights, hot flashes, you name it - I got it.

    'Pie loves ice cubes, too, especially on the new floor since they escape and she has to chase them down and kill them, lol

    Gosh Darn it Allimom, here Survivor is almost done and I haven't been around to discuss it with you! What do you think about this season? Who do you think will win? It should get really interesting the next few weeks. Wonder how the immunity idol will come into play?
