A Day In The Life

We will be going camping over the weekend of August 12/13 in what I am hoping will be a remote enough area that we will have a (weather permitting) good view for the Perseids (meteor shower). I had hoped to get a cabin to stay in, but made the reservations too late so we will be in our tent.

I don’t mind tent camping at all, we just live in a part of the country that is known for rainy weather, so I would have liked to have something a little more water-proof should mother-nature not cooperate with our trip.

I want to go camping at the end of August also, but I don’t know where I’d like to go. I’ll probably talk to Hubby about it to see if we want to stay in state, go to a neighboring state, or maybe head up to Canada to check out some of the camping options there.

Some day, down the road a year or two, I’m going to convince Hubby (and save to have enough $$) for a week long trip to the Grand Canyon, with a white water rafting trip as part of the vacation. I know Hubby will be more comfortable doing this when #3 is a little bit older, so I’ll start talking it up now for a possibility in 2 or 3 years.
