It's About That Time of Year
Wed Jun 08 2005

For me to get a Praying Mantis egg case. I have much better places to put the egg cases this year in my new yard, YIPPIE! We had a blast last year when they started to hatch, hopefully this year will be just as much fun.

Well, at least for #3, #1 and #2 may thing they are too old for it now. I doubt it though.

I'm fighting the urge to go back to bed this morning. I need to run to the store and a couple other places, so I really need to stay awake. Maybe I'll go to the Y right after #3 leaves to help me wake up some.

Whatever I do, I need to do it quickly! I'm quite sleepy this morning!

I remember when I was about 8 years old I brought a coccoon into the house convinced it would be a butterfly when it opened. My mother was somewhat dubious but put it in a fish bowl for me. I checked that thing every day when I came home from school. Finally, finally the day came and what came out of that thing but baby praying mantis'. I was absolutely horrified and started crying. My mother laughed about it til her dying day, lol. These days, as a gardener, I am quite happy to see the little praying babies. How things change as we age, eh?

What, no apricot butter? I am appalled at your lack of drive. Simply appalled........

I do apologize. I missed the "butter" entry. I will disparage you no further, dear lady *wink*

TY for the coming treat. It's much appreciated.

I used to be able to carry a pretty good load, although I was never what you would call a heavy drinker. But this old bod' just won't handle it any more. Besides I'm on a couple medications that forbid (not advise against--forbid!) the use of alcohol.

Your apricot butter and jam are making my mouth water. You put it up at home and I have to buy it. No comparison at all. *sigh*

    Shalom
