Feeling Better
Thu Mar 24 2005

OK, today was definitely better. I was up and full of energy, ready to face the day. Then I ate something (much spicier than I should have eaten) and my stomach said Whoa Nelly! Let’s stick with bland!. Searching the cupboards revealed no bread and nothing bland. Off to the store went #3 and I for bread and something sufficiently bland to put in my tummy.

I ended up settling for a Macaroni & Cheese TV dinner. That is the blandest quick-to-fix thing I could find. I was set!

I did make it to class tonight. I think this term is going to be enjoyable. Most likely frustrating, and I’ve no doubt I will have days in which I want to pull my hair out… but enjoyable. I’m again the only one in the class, which will make it interesting. In this class all the students are supposed to work together to create a program, like they would in the work place as programmers creating a program. Being a class of one has me at a slight disadvantage. My instructor will instead act as “the rest of the class” and I will work with him to create the program.

Hubby and I caught the new series “The Office” tonight. I have seen the original British series, and having seen that I was quite disappointed in the American copy. It looks forced, and the actors are not as fresh and genuine as the British cast was. I suspect I will rent the series again in the near future so Hubby can see what I’m talking about. He didn’t watch the original with me. Fran had brought it down with her on one of her visits, and we laughed at it together.

OK, time to see if I can fall asleep now. Wish me luck!

Glad you're feeling better. But bland is the menu for a few more days.

You even made it to class. Interesting being the only one and working with your instructor. Looking forward to further reports.

    Shalom

I sympathise with the under-the-weather bug. It hit me this week, though just a bad head cold. Tell you what, you buy stock in V-8 and I'll buy stock in Kleenex and we'll compare how well we do. If we make enough, at least we'll be more comfortable the next time the bugs hit. :)
