Maddening Week
Thu Feb 03 2005

This week has been frustrating to say the least. I’ve had #1 and #2 home, anticipating them starting out at their new school tomorrow. Today I heard back from the school and it looks like they will not be able to start out there until Tuesday at the earliest.

The most frustrating aspect is my school work. I’m absolutely unable to do homework while the kids are home. I’ve got quite a bit of reading and a few projects to work on, and I’m unable to do so. I’ve tried sitting down to do the work 4 or 5 times every day. Yesterday I had the most success and got two whole paragraphs read before there was an interruption.

I’ve got to find a way to get the work done. I’m not sure how, but I’ve got to. I wonder if I can find child sized straight jackets on e-bay? Between those and duct tape, I might be able to get some quiet around here!

Straitjacket, duct tape, and don't forget the closet. With a lock. In a room far away from where you're trying to study.

I can't tell you how happy I am to be beyond those years.

    Shalom

Oh, dear, good luck to you. It never fails to amaze me how much I Can't get done with kids underfoot. They just suck up every minute. At least, that's the way it seems to me!

    Hugs,
