My mom had gotten me a Clay Baker for Christmas, and I’ve got it soaking now in anticipation of making roast chicken for dinner. #1 raved about this from when he lived up with them, so I’m seeing if the other two boys like it also.
Speaking of #1… he has been working diligently to work off the money he owes us from his legal fees. We are “paying” him $5/hour for work done around the house and yard. He did get a check from my grandma for his birthday, and all of that went towards his debt also. All told he owes us a few hundred hours of work, and he has taken a decent sized bite out of those hours. As a result, my cars are washed and vacuumed, the lawn has been mowed, the laundry is done by him on a daily basis, the dishes get done and the kitchen cleaned, the bathrooms get cleaned and everything gets vacuumed and dusted almost every other day.
My house has never been so clean…
If the weather holds, he will be starting to clean out the flower beds (we have to have them clear of weeds before we move), and dig up and pot all the plants I want to take with me to the new house. I may hold off on this for a little while as my Lenten Roses are blooming up a storm right now.
