Spakler Home Remodel
Sun Dec 16 2001

Ok so a big chunk of the bathroom remodel is done.

I have been taking pics all along the way.

The house was a fixer upper. They had a crew come thru and drywall and paint before we moved in. Well the didnt mask ANYTHING off. NOTHING. They coated electrical socks, lights fixtures, wall heaters, you name it, with DRYWALL. Door jams, everything. The H was all freaked out and asked our realtor to make them stop. That wed finish that stuff.

So that gives you a feel for what we were dealing with. Turns out the tile around the bathtub was not white, it was PAINTED!

The linoleum floor had a few tears in it also in the bathroom.

So here we go, Welcome to "SPARKLERS HOUSE"

This shot is dim but its the bathroom as it was moreso.

Next photo is up close of the tile that was painted that I had to strip all the paint off of.

Ok the results of my own LABOR. I did this while the H and I were apart. It was my first project. I bought Lavender paint, a shower curtain and rod, and put up some pictures.

I still hadnt cut in the paint around the tub in the photo, but I didnt leave that yellow glow :)

Remember that tub pick in the corner? I snapped the same corner. Purdy huh?

Room shot with the new tile floor.

Hs work, the Tile floor he put in this past weekend.

Tadaaaa!

So whats left? I am going to replace the light fixture, and put in a pedestal white sink. But looks mucho better now doesnt it? Im not afraid to have people use it now! HA!

Oh but wait they cant, the toilet tank is cracked, HAHA. H cracked it putting the toilet back in, Ahh another repair. But hey at least it looks pretty right?

Wow! It looks great. Can't wait to see that new sink. I love pedestal sinks! (If you have another place to store the stuff)

    Good work!

p.s. the cracked toliet tank can always be *recycled* into a flower pot/holder for your yard :)
