I started classes again last night; I'm taking the Calculus class I had to drop a few months ago. I had thought about taking two classes this term, but with Hubby leaving tomorrow for who-knows-how-long, I changed my mind. Yes, it will push out my being able to transfer to the 4 year school in the winter, but I would rather not leave the kids home alone those extra hours every week.

The class I’m taking is actually a split class between mine (Math 126) and the one before it (Math 125). There are enough people in both classes that the instructor decided to split it. So, instead of it being a Monday-Wednesday class, my half is jumping over to Tuesday-Thursday nights. No biggie for me since I’m only taking this class. I’m not sure how it will affect the others making the move to those nights.

Hubby is getting off work early today so we can make a trip up to the show room of the builders we are working with on the house. The show room has everything you can think of that can be opted for in the house. We have some electrical questions, and wanted to take another look at the carpet, linoleum and laminate options we chose to make sure that we were in our right minds when we originally chose them. We have to submit our final choices on September 16, so we have time to change our minds or at least realize we may have been out of our minds when we made the current choices. I know I do need to talk with the kids regarding the linoleum #2 wanted for their bathroom. I’m not sure I can live with it, but we want them to feel like they are having an input in the house. I will see if I can come to a compromise with them by trading off the color of the linoleum for the color of the counters.

The one thing I can say for sure is that I love the cabinets we chose. We are going with the Paprika option of these cabinets.

I think I'd prefer the Toffee, but it all depends on the orientation of the kitchen and how much natural light it gets.

I remember when we were building our house in Texas. It was so much fun choosing the colors, and there was even railroad-theme wallpaper for #1's bedroom, which he chose. The bathroom was pink-white-light gray tile. Very nice, but I wouldn't choose that combination today.

    Have fun!!

I think you made a wise choice in taking just the one class. It is good to see a mom who puts the needs of her kids first and given the nature of Calculus, you will probably end up very happy that you don't have any other homework pressures on top of it anyway. The mere thought of Calculus makes my head ache. :)
