If we were to do so, we would definitely be looking for something in which we could go zero down on, and would likely be going the VA route again for the loan. With that in mind, we went to talk with the bank today to see if we are really able to do so based on current pay, debt and so forth.
The initial report came back favorable, but we will know for sure tomorrow or the next day after the numbers are crunched with the appropriate agencies. As far as I know our credit is fine, the only things that may be on the credit report are the two glitches that were the banks fault in January then again in May. It seems the auto pay I had set up for my van payment was taken out of my account, but then sent somewhere other than where it was supposed to go. I can see the electronic trail of where the money left my account, but between my account and the lending bank the money gets lost. Yes, I’m still responsible for it, but I am not sure how my bank can just randomly send the money to God knows where twice out of the last 3+ years it has been being paid this way. Oh well, I’m going to get off this soap box now.
If we do get approved, we likely won’t be actually doing anything until after Hubby’s promotion kicks in around September or October. But right now we’re having fun pulling our Someday dreams into the present.
