Random Thoughts of a Confused Mind
Tue May 25 2004

OK, I'm only confused about some things. Not everything.

The kids we OK this morning compared to yesterday morning. It has been strange for about the last week. #1, who is so difficult to get out of bed in the morning has been waking up about an hour before I do. He comes out into the front room and quietly watches TV while everyone else sleeps. Sometimes he will eat breakfast out here (the only time he can eat outside of the kitchen is when no one is around, big NO-NO to eat on the new furniture!)

While I haven't had the struggles to get him out of bed in the mornings, the difficulties have shifted. He has started going in and tormenting his brothers and getting them angry and out of sorts. No matter what I tell him, he won't leave them alone. This morning he got mad at me for following him around any time he went towards the back of the house. I was trying to prevent him from enraging his brothers, but he was becoming enraged that I wouldn’t leave him alone.

I can’t win.

At least I don’t have that fight to go through every morning. Having said that I suspect he will go back to being difficult to get out of bed in the mornings tomorrow. Oh well.

It's not possible to keep everyone happy all of the time. I think you should concentrate on YOU, let the others fend for themselves. I know, it's mean. Okay, split it up, rotate it out by the hour.

If your #1 happens to be in the age range of 14 or so, this new tweaking is quite likely to remain part of the routine for some time. :(

I have to crack down often as my son of same age gets his jollies from tormenting his younger brother. This is especially bad when he gets bored.

You could try fining him a quarter for every infraction, but if he is like mine, he would probably grin and offer you a dollar for permission to have at it. lol

Take the morning wake up difficulties... it is easier on the nerves in the long run. :)

Having chuckled at your last sentence, the first thought that crossed my mind was I am glad my kids are out of school for the summer. LOL!! Have a good evening!

Hi, im from New Zealand we are far behind on American Idol because we had our own idol. So now they put it on every week day from 6pm till 7pm, and we're only upto the second lot of people who go through the finals. Fantasia and the young girl just got in from what we've seen so far. Fantasia is a great singer, and no doubt your right she's got a great voice and well i hope she wins and if she doesnt she's still a winner in my eyes.
