Monday Morning Meanderings of the Mind
Mon May 24 2004

Ah yes, Monday morning. The ritualistic day of the week where I’m required to constantly nag and scream at the kids to keep them moving to get ready for school.

Hmm, come to think of it, Tuesday through Friday mornings have a strong resemblance to Monday mornings. I wonder if it ever gets better while the kids are still in school?

Hubby and I fought a valiant fight against computer viruses this weekend. I think as of this morning the three infected computers are clean. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I need to do too much work on my ‘puter for school and can’t afford it to be unavailable to me.

I can hardly believe that there is less than 3 weeks left for my Computer and English class. The next term starts on June 21, and since I’m already taking an evening class that goes through July, I’ll only be signing up for one class at the main campus. I’m hoping to get into the next computer class that I need, then later this summer I’ll re-take my math class and be sure that it is the only class I take for that term. I definitely want lots of time to focus on that class so I don’t blow it!

Well, it is time for me to go do my imitation of a grumpy Mom again to the kids to motivate them to get a move on.

Yippie.

I still like the idea of a spray bottle to spritz the little sprites with to get them out of bed and moving.

LOL! I've had chickens, Lots of them, and this still makes me want to fence my back yard and run out and get a few! (Especially with the number of eggs we go through around here).

Wonder what the city fathers on this side of the pond would think if the predominate neighborhood background noise became clucking and cackling...makes me smile to think of it. There's a little folksong that has as it's refrain, *And all the little chickens in the garden.* Can't you just see them peppering Portland's yards?

    Hugs,

Beside the fact, my dogs would eat any fowl in my back yard. My city will not allow "livestock" within the city limits. The article said they have two hens. Don't you need a Rooster to keep getting eggs? Roosters can be loud. Also just wait until they have to de-louse a chicken. GROSS. My mom used to have that job when she was growing up on the family farm. I think I would rather spend a few bucks on eggs at the store instead of all the work and cost of keeping the hens fed and healthy. Some things, I rather leave to the professionals.

I think my personal computer has gotten a virus because it does nothing but tell me I have a disk error. Wasn't doing that 2wks ago. I haven't had a chance to really sit down and check it out. Thank goodness for work computers and working from home. LOL!! And nah, it doesn't get any better while they are in school. What were you thinking?? ROFL!!

    Have a great evening!

Yes you might also compare the Gestapo to the "PATRIOT Act".
